Member Services Representative

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Member Service Representative (MSR).This position could be scheduled to work in either Ohio office as needed.

Job Purpose:
The MSR is the “face” of Riverview and is expected to create a welcoming, friendly environment for current and potential members as soon as they enter the doors or begin drive-through transactions. MSRs also process a variety of financial transactions for members and provide information about Riverview’s products and services.

Key Job Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Present an overall professional image in the areas of dress, communications, and conduct
  • Greet and welcome members to the credit union
  • Provide first-class member service on a consistent basis
  • Ability to balance a cash drawer and process transactions quickly but accurately.
  • Promote, explain, and cross-sell Riverview's products & services and current promotions to current and potential members
  • Answer phone calls in a timely manner
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Ability to identify member needs and maintain and support the credit union philosophy.
Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Preference will be given to individuals with prior teller experience.
  • Math skills sufficient to calculate and process transactions
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong basic computer skills and ability to operate standard office equipment (calculator, copier, fax, etc)
  • Internet proficient
  • Good organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills,
  • Ability to multi-task and operate under pressure
  • Possess a positive and professional team attitude at all times
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and bondability
Schedule:

Approx. 40 hours / per week. Some overtime may be required. Shifts are scheduled on a rotating basis to provide adequate coverage during normal hours of operations: 8AM-5:30PM Mon-Thurs and 8:AM-6:00 PM Fri. Shifts typically are 8 hrs although some 10 hr shifts will be required. Offices are closed on Saturdays and for all federal holidays.

Compensation:
