Who we need:
This is NOT an I.T. or computer software role. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with high-speed industrial injection or blow molding experience in the PET plastics industry who has a strong electrical background, as well as pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical experience for field service troubleshooting, installation and support.
What we need:
Utilize knowledge of preform and plastic container manufacturing technology to support internal and external customers with after-sales support, equipment installation, replacement, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of complex electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical manufacturing equipment including but not limited to robots, programmable controllers, numeral controls, pipe systems, gauges, valves, pressure regulators, power supplies, drives, and related equipment. Perform basic PLC programming and analysis and solve production issues and process improvements. Interpret customer production, layout and processing data to advise on options and alternatives for product installation, operation or repair. Prepare technical reports of sufficient technical expertise to be utilized by R&D department. Update technical knowledge to keep up with technological solutions. The job requires up to 75% travel throughout the United States, Canada, and Italy and perhaps some other safe international locations. Travel includes weekends.
What you need:
5 years’ experience in job offered or as an electrical Field Service Engineer providing troubleshooting, service and support to plastic injection companies, and performing installation, maintenance, refurbishing, retrofitting, upgrading and troubleshooting plastic PET injection machinery as well as robotic equipment, and molds. The job requires up to 75% travel throughout the United States and Canada to numerous and unanticipated locations. You can live anywhere in the USA so long as you are in close proxmity to an international airport as all of your travel is by air. You need the ability to qualify for a passport if you do not already have one; and always have a valid Driver's License.
