Large established Equestrian facility in the Hamptons looking for an experienced Business/Facility  Manager.  The  Manager oversees the Hunter/Jumper and Dressage programs, show program, lessons and camp, boarding and training as well as the entire property and is a “hands on” position.  The Manager is a catalyst for creating meaningful high performance standards of the staff and leading each within their area of responsibility. 

Duties:
  • Report to and work directly with CEO on day to day activities 
  • Oversee all facility landscaping, maintenance and repairs
  • Recruit and hire all staff (combination of year round and seasonal staff)
  • Oversee all staff including other management staff
  • Deal with any necessary conflict resolution
  • Oversee Care of all horses
  • Weekly payroll
  • Manage all employee HR and training
  • Maintain vendor and client relationships
  • Delegate and oversee completion of daily, weekly and monthly tasks
  • Weekly staff meetings
  • Work with management team on ways in increase revenue
  • Employee contracts
  • Weekly employee schedule
  • Annual employee reviews
  • Weekly and monthly billing
  • Provide organizational oversight of the Camps and Lesson program
  • Be a strong team leader who is able to encourage productivity
  • Facilitate the Wellington Florida winter program for hunter jumper and Dressage trainers
  • Must have worked in horse industry 5+ years
  • Must have A circuit and/or FEI Dressage level show experience (managing or grooming)
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a good planner who is able to think “outside the box”
  • Must have 3+ years managing at least 5 employees
  • Must have superior customer service skills
  • Work well under high pressure
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office, excel and QuickBooks 
  • 2+ years sales experience
  • Must have HR/Payroll experience
  • Must be willing to work weekends and Holidays
  • Strong organization skills 
  • Housing paid for off property (salary increased if employee has housing)
  • Salary $50,000- $55,000 per year
  • Two weeks paid vacation
