- Serve as the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environment Management Systems (EMS) Coordinator in meeting all certification, company and customer specific requirements.
- Serves as a member of internal audit teams assigned to – such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 (EMS) standards
- Perform all Document Controls within the QMS system to ensure strict compliance with all system processing requirements, including maintain associated records, as well as Internal Audit binders.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings / activities / completion of tasks related to QMS – including by not limited to preparatory and actual steps for the scheduling and conducting of Internal Audits – and for 3rd Party Audits.
- Support the coordination / scheduling / facilitating of various projects/group events as assigned and/or related to continual improvement and preventive action initiatives – in correlation with QMS/EMS; and support of other related groups, such as the Lean Steering Council & 5S Committee.
- Follow-up with QMS Process Overseers on the monitoring of designated processes and compliance with established Process Overseer roles and responsibilities.
- Demonstrate leadership, initiative and self-motivation by seeking tasks to complete, along with proposing continual improvement opportunities.
- Responsible for generating assigned reports, timelines, budgets, meeting presentation materials, Metrics data/scorecards, procedural documents, meeting minutes, etc. – including Business Operations Meetings.
- Performs follow-up communications with others on developing plans with QMS/EMS/assigned projects - tracking projects and pending initiatives.
- Interacts with other personnel/groups on varied topics – internally and externally, as necessary to obtain information, complete tasks, assist with problem-solving, etc. – including generation of procedural documentation.
- Provide training to others on QMS/EMS/assigned areas of responsibility – such as QMS Documents Processing.
- Works with others on the generation of procedural documents, forms, process maps, and such – in accordance to established guidelines.
Perform all related administrative and varied tasks from routine to analytical / special project activities – including updating of Lean Communication Boards, proof reading documents; filing/control of documents; ordering items, distribution of documents, interacting with related vendors, sending correspondence, etc.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Two years of college, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience with automotive industry quality management systems auditing / support / related varied tasks
- Internal Auditor Certification (IATF 16949, ISO 9000, ISO 14001)
- Able to work independently and on teams
- Analytical/problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong Communication Skills – written and verbal
- Attention to detail / Excellent organizational skills

- Advanced Excel skills (i.e. databases, formulas, pivot tables, graphing)
- Process mapping experience
- Spanish or Japanese language skills a plus
